Job description

English Tutor – Nottinghamshire
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English specialist to provide targeted tuition for KS3 students in the Nottinghamshire area. This role involves delivering one-to-one and small group sessions outside of the traditional classroom, supporting students identified as needing additional help in English language and literature.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, tailored English tuition sessions to support student progress.
  • Work with students one-to-one and in small groups, fostering confidence and improving their understanding of English.
  • Encourage academic development, mental well-being, and self-confidence in students.
  • Use creative freedom to design lesson plans that cater to individual learning needs.
  • Commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A strong classroom practitioner with a proven track record of delivering excellent student progress.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • A tutor who can inspire, motivate, and engage students to achieve their potential.
  • Someone passionate about student well-being and committed to safeguarding policies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
