Job description

A high attaining oversubscribed secondary school in Bristol (BS6) is seeking an English Teacher and tutor for a month long cover in January.

The role:

  • Delivering engaging KS3, 4 and 5 lessons that meet curriculum objectives
  • Managing student behaviour, ensuring the classroom environment is safe and supportive of learning
  • Reporting to parents and other staff members when necessary
  • Marking and assessing the work of students

The ideal candidate:

  • a fully qualified English Teacher with UK QTS
  • a passionate and highly skilled teacher with the ability to teach English at Key Stages 3 and 4
  • creative and innovative; willing to contribute to the development of students’ learning and progress within a committed and forward looking faculty
  • committed to continuous professional development leading to outstanding teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
