English Teacher – Secondary SEN School (Andover)

Are you an experienced English Teacher with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs? A Secondary SEN school in Andover is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join their team. The school is small with an excellent local reputation, providing a supportive environment where you can make a real impact on students’ lives.

Role Overview:

  • Position: English Teacher (GCSE Level)
  • Location: Secondary SEN School, Andover
  • Contract: Temporary, starting ASAP with potential for a permanent role later in the academic year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach GCSE English to pupils with additional needs
  • Adapt lessons to meet the diverse learning needs of pupils with SEND
  • Provide a nurturing and structured environment that fosters both academic and personal growth
  • Collaborate with the school’s supportive staff to deliver the best outcomes for students

What We Are Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential)
  • Previous experience teaching GCSE English
  • Experience working in SEND settings or supporting students with additional needs
  • A flexible, compassionate approach and strong behavior management skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
