English Teacher (SEMH School) - Basingstoke

Are you an inspiring and dedicated English Teacher with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Teaching Personnel are seeking a committed English Teacher to join a small SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Basingstoke.

About the Role:

  • Location: Basingstoke

  • Class Size: Small groups of no more than 9 students

  • Curriculum: National Curriculum, teaching English up to GCSE level

  • Start Date: ASAP (subject to vetting checks)

  • Contract: Initially through Teaching Personnel, transitioning to a permanent contract upon successful completion of the probation period

Requirements:

  • UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential

  • Proven experience teaching English to GCSE level

  • Experience working with SEND and SEMH children

  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of small class sizes and individual students

  • A compassionate and patient approach to education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
