Job description

Are you someone who enjoys working with young people? Do you embrace challenges and enjoy motivating people to their full potential? If you are some who matches this description and is looking to work on a part-time basis in the Lincoln area, then this role may be for you!

For this role, we are looking for a English Functional Skills Tutor. In this position, you will need to be able to build a relationship with these students to help tailor your approach to cater for their additional needs and preferences. We will also require you to have a strong knowledge of the current English curriculum.

The pay for tutoring is £25-£30 per hour. It is desirable for the applicants to hold full UK driving licence as a selection of the pupils will need to be tutored within their home/at a local library.

Requirements for the role:

-          An Enhanced Child Workforce only DBS on the update service, or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors (support for obtaining one can be provided).

-          Experience of working with children/young people with SEND, SEMH and other additional needs.

-          A strong understanding and comprehension of the English curriculum in the UK.

-          A professional, patient and approachable approach to education and teaching.

-          Willingness to travel between various schools.

-          Professional references from your two most recent employers, totalling 24 months from a 10-year career history.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
