Job description

Job Title: English and Maths KS3 1:1 Tutor

Location:

East of England, Suffolk, Barking

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide individualised English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students
  • Develop tailored lesson plans to address each student's specific learning needs
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Encourage student engagement and motivation in the subjects
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching English and Maths at the Key Stage 3 level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of different learning styles and ability to adapt teaching methods
  • Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans
  • Strong classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with students with special educational needs

Working Conditions:

This role involves working with students on a one-to-one basis, either in-person or remotely. The tutor will be responsible for creating a conducive learning environment and maintaining regular communication with students and their families.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
