Job Description: English and Maths GCSE Outreach Tutor
Location:
East of England, Essex, Colchester
Job Type:
Temporary, Full-Time

Salary:
£20 - £30 Per hour
Job Duties:
1. Provide one-on-one tutoring to students studying for their English and Maths GCSE exams.
2. Develop and implement personalised learning plans based on individual student needs.
3. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
4. Help students improve their understanding of key concepts and build confidence in their academic abilities.
5. Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student learning.
Required Qualifications:
- A degree in Education or relevant field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience in tutoring or teaching English and Maths at the GCSE level
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Experience:
Previous experience in tutoring or teaching English and Maths at the GCSE level
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of the English and Maths GCSE curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and engage students in their learning
- Organisational skills to track student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
Working Conditions:
- Full-time hours, temporary position
- Work will primarily take place in educational settings such as the learners home or school
- May require travel to different locations within the East of England region

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
