An exceptional secondary school in Kensington is seeking a passionate and dedicated Drama Teacher to join their permanent staff from September 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a vibrant and supportive environment, where students are encouraged to develop their creativity and confidence through the performing arts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Drama lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Inspire and engage students with a passion for theatre, performance, and the arts.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing feedback that supports their development.
- Contribute to the wider school community, including participation in school productions, extra-curricular activities, and departmental planning.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages all students to achieve their best.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in Drama or Performing Arts.
- A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related field.
- Experience teaching Drama at the secondary level, including preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a supportive learning environment.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for innovative teaching practices.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative and dynamic team.
- A genuine passion for the arts and a desire to inspire the next generation of performers and creatives.
Desirable:
- Experience directing school productions or involvement in extra-curricular drama activities.
- A willingness to contribute to the wider school life, including participating in school events, trips, and enrichment programs.
