Drama Graduate Cover Supervisor – Oldham Secondary Schools

Are you a recent Drama graduate looking to step into the education sector? Do you want to inspire students with your passion for the performing arts while gaining valuable classroom experience? We are seeking a Drama Graduate Cover Supervisor for secondary schools in Oldham.

This role is an exciting opportunity to develop your teaching skills, with potential pathways into teacher training and career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising Drama lessons in the absence of the teacher, ensuring students engage with pre-set tasks.
  • Managing classroom behaviour, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assisting students with practical and theoretical Drama work, supporting their creative development.
  • Collaborating with the Drama department to maintain lesson continuity and student progress.
  • Encouraging creativity, self-expression, and teamwork through Drama activities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A recent Drama graduate or a graduate with a related arts degree.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Confident in managing classroom behaviour and fostering a productive learning atmosphere.
  • Passionate about Drama and eager to make a positive impact on students’ education.
  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
