Exciting Opportunity for Drama Graduates

Are you a Drama graduate or currently studying Drama? Are you looking for a rewarding and paid work experience that leverages your passion for the arts?

Teaching Personnel is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for Drama Graduates to bring their creativity and enthusiasm into a supportive educational setting. We are looking for dynamic individuals to join a special school in Birmingham, focused on Autism, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH), and Learning Difficulties. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives, helping them grow in confidence and express themselves.

Your Role:

  • Engage with children and young adults, using your drama skills to support their educational and personal development.
  • Facilitate creative learning activities that cater to students' diverse needs, working both 1:1 and in small groups.
  • Gain invaluable experience across various key stages, including Early Years, Primary, Secondary, and Post-16 education.
  • Collaborate with a passionate team in a purpose-built school that values community involvement and creative approaches to learning.

Ideal Candidates: We are interested in graduates with degrees in:

  • Drama
  • Performing Arts
  • Psychology
  • Educational Studies
  • Social Work
  • Youth and Community Studies
  • Or other related fields

This role is perfect for those looking to explore careers in education, drama therapy, or arts education. It’s an excellent stepping stone for those who want to develop their skills and potentially move into teaching or other creative educational roles.

Requirements:

  • A willingness to apply for or already possess an Enhanced Child DBS, registered on the update service.
