About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Design Technology teacher to deliver high-quality lessons and inspire students to explore their potential in design, engineering, and practical skills. You will:
- Teach Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to specialise in areas such as Product Design, Engineering, Graphics, or Resistant Materials.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on, practical applications.
- Foster creativity, critical thinking, and technical skills in a supportive and stimulating environment.
- Play a key role in preparing students for GCSE exams and future careers in design, engineering, and technology.

What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Design Technology or a related field.
- Expertise in delivering a variety of DT specialisms, including familiarity with GCSE-level specifications.
- A passion for developing students’ skills in innovation, problem-solving, and craftsmanship.
- Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to creating an inclusive and dynamic learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
