Your Role as a DT Teacher
As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will:
- Deliver Engaging Lessons: Teach engaging, practical, and theoretical DT lessons, including areas such as Product Design, Graphics, Resistant Materials, Textiles, or Food Technology.
- Foster Creativity: Encourage students to explore their creative potential and develop critical thinking skills.
- Prepare for the Future: Equip students with practical skills and knowledge to prepare them for further education and careers.
- Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with colleagues to enhance the DT curriculum and participate in school activities.
- Ensure Safety: Maintain high standards of safety in workshops, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking talented individuals with:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A background in teaching Design and Technology at KS3 and KS4 (experience at KS5 is an advantage).
- A passion for your subject and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to safeguarding children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
