About the Role:

Our well-established mainstream secondary school in North Liverpool is seeking an enthusiastic and fully qualified Design and Technology Teacher. In this role, you will lead engaging lessons in Design and Technology, with a particular focus on engineering principles. Your experience and commitment to high standards will be key to promoting a productive and positive learning environment for all students.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Fully Qualified Teacher: Must have UK-recognized teaching qualifications in Design and Technology.
  • Strong Behaviour Management Skills: Proven ability to maintain a focused, respectful, and safe classroom environment.
  • Engineering Knowledge: Solid understanding of engineering principles and practical applications, as well as experience teaching engineering concepts within the curriculum.
  • Enhanced DBS: Candidates must have or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS check.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and practical lessons in Design and Technology, incorporating engineering elements.
  • Use effective behaviour management strategies to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess, monitor, and support students’ academic and personal development.
  • Collaborate with department staff to develop resources, projects, and teaching strategies.
