ARE YOU CAPABLE OF PREPARING AND DELIVERING HIGH QUALITY AND ENGAGING DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY LESSONS?

DO YOU HAVE THE RELEVANT TEACHING QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR A FULL TIME TEACHING ROLE?

 

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a full time DT teacher at an excellent school within the Coleshill area. The school work very closely with the team at Teaching Personnel and have a great working relationship. The school are looking for a reliable, confident and self-motivated teacher to join their amazing DT/Art department.

This is a full time position for an immediate start. 

 

Pay Rate: pay to scale

 

Expected Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Relevant teaching experience across various disciplines across the DT curriculum
  • Bachelors Degree in DT or a DT specialism
  • Experience working with pupils with special educational needs or social, emotional and mental health needs and confident with dealing with difficult situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

 

Job Role/Responsibilities: 

  • Plan and deliver a range of DT lessons across the school to Years 7-11 (it would be avantageous if you could teach Years 12-13 too, ensuring you differentiate lessons to allow pupils of all abilities to access the learning
  • Regularly assess pupils progress through various forms of methods and provide them with timely and constructive feedback whilst also highlighting positive work and effort through praise and reward
  • Maintain a positive, assertive class presence and ensure behaviour management is strong
  • Collaborate with your colleagues within the DT department to enhance the department and ensure it performs highly within the school
  • Contribute to the wider school community through engagement with extra curricular activities, staff meetings and parents evenings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
