Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Design and Technology to join a forward-thinking secondary school. This role provides an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team committed to providing high-quality education and fostering an inclusive, enjoyable, and successful learning environment for all students.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Design and Technology across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

  • Support the development of students' technical, creative, and problem-solving skills.

  • Promote high standards of behaviour and learning in the classroom.

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Design and Technology curriculum.

The Design and Technology Department
The Design and Technology Department is well-resourced and offers a range of disciplines at Key Stage 3, including Product Design, Textiles, Food, and Media. At Key Stage 4, the school offers GCSE Design and Technology alongside courses in Food and Media. This role will have a particular focus on delivering Product Design at Key Stage 4.

You will be joining a team of experienced teachers who are committed to sharing best practices, embracing professional development, and driving progress within the department.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
