Cover Supervisor

Location: Chepstow

Start Date: September 2024.

Pay Rate: from £100 per day.

Hours: 8.30am – 3pm.

Here at Teaching Personnel, we are currently working closely with a Secondary School in Chepstow to recruit Cover Supervisors. The role would be working with children between the ages of 11-16. The school is very accessible via motorway and public transport.

There is currently a shortage on educators who are able or willing to cover classes. Within this role you will be expected to supervise and oversea a class of pupils. This is a great role if you are looking to gain experience in an education environment without the added pressure of a teacher.

You will not be expected to do any marking, planning or have a teacher qualification.

If you have a desire to work within schools and you’re confident in front of a class, this can be the perfect fit for you.

The successful Candidate should

  • Be comfortable in front of a classroom.
  • Ensure students stay on task.
  • Be dependable, adaptable and flexible.
  • Have good communication skills with students and staff.

 

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS cleared & on the update service. (Or willing to apply)
  • EWC registered. (Or willing to apply)
  • Be able to provide 2 of your most recent references.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have up to date safeguarding training or willing to take it. (Online course provided for free by Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
