Cover Supervisor Secondary School - East Ham East London

Due to an increasing demand, Teaching personnel are currently looking for a confident and driven individual who is interested in working as a Cover Supervisor in the Secondary school sector. The role is to cover lessons of students within the KS3 and KS5 bracket. Your main responsibility as a Cover Supervisor will be to manage the behaviour of the class and deliver the pre-set work. It is easy for students to become easily distracted when their continuity is broken, and the regular teacher is not in. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the Cover Supervisor to retain the student’s attention while keeping them task focused and maintaining their enthusiasm and enjoyment.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain strong school experience which could lead to further prospects. Day to Day/Short Term & Long Term

As a Cover Supervisor you will be:

  • Asked to deliver pre planned material to a full class.
  • Be prepared to have full responsibility of the class.
  • Focused on keeping the students engaged.
  • Focused on keeping behaviour to the school’s standards.
  • Flexible and have a passion for education and learning.

To be a Cover Supervisor we are looking for:

  • A recent University Graduate with a Secondary subject degree
  • A current Cover Supervisor who has front of the class experience.
  • A youth worker or coach who again has experience of working with children.
  • A teaching Assistant looking to take the next step up.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
