Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location: East of England, Cambridgeshire, Wisbech

Job Type: Ad hoc, supply

Secondary school settings

Salary: £100 - £130 Per day

We are looking for flexible and enthusiastic cover supervisors to support two of our partner schools in the Wisbech area. The role will require you to carry out plans in a variety of subjects, for Secondary aged pupils. The requirements may vary week to week, but becoming a familiar face within the schools, will open up opportunities for long term or permanent roles within the trust, should this be your desired outcome. However if you are just looking for flexible supply work, this would also be a suitable position. 

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the subject teacher
  • Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for students
  • Follow lesson plans provided by teachers and ensure students stay on task
  • Manage student behaviour and encourage positive interactions
  • Report back on student progress and any issues to the appropriate staff

Required Qualifications:

  • A degree and subject specialism is preferable 
  • Experience working with children or young adults in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience leading a classroom or group of students is desirable

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of classroom management techniques
  • Ability to follow instructions and implement lesson plans effectively
  • Good organisational skills

Working Conditions:

  • Work hours typically during school hours
  • Temporary position with the potential for ongoing assignments
  • Interaction with students, teachers, and school staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
