Location: Towcester, Northamptonshire

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About Us: A thriving secondary school located in the heart of Towcester, committed to providing a supportive and dynamic learning environment for their students. We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Cover Supervisors.

Job Description: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education for our students in the absence of their regular teachers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring students stay on task.
  • Supporting students with their learning and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Collaborating with teaching staff and other cover supervisors to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • A degree in any discipline.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • A positive and proactive attitude.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle is preferred.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
