Job Duties:

• Supervising and managing classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher
• Ensuring a positive learning environment for students
• Implementing pre-prepared lesson plans
• Maintaining discipline and managing student behaviour
• Providing assistance to students as needed
• Reporting back to the regular teacher on student progress and behaviour

Required Qualifications:

• GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
• Previous experience working with children or young adults
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths

Experience:

Previous experience working with children or young adults

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively
• Basic understanding of educational principles
• Ability to follow and implement lesson plans

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching Assistant qualification
• First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

• Working in a school environment
• Full-time hours
• May require standing and walking for extended periods
• Potential exposure to typical classroom noise levels

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
