Cover Supervisor

Our client Secondary School is a vibrant and inclusive secondary school located in Stockport, Greater Manchester. The dedicated staff work collaboratively to ensure that every student has the opportunity to achieve their potential.

The school are seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals to join the support team as Cover Supervisors. This role is essential in maintaining continuity of education for all students during teacher absences. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across various subjects to students in years 7-11, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons effectively to students.
  • Supporting students with their classwork and providing additional assistance as needed.
  • Maintaining classroom discipline and managing student behaviour.
  • Creating a calm and conducive learning atmosphere.
  • Collaborating with teaching staff to support educational objectives when not covering classes.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • A candidate with a passion for supporting the achievement of all children.
  • Someone with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Someone who can be flexible in a fast-paced school environment.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
