About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join our team working in schools across Stockport. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the continuity of education for students by supervising classes during the absence of teachers. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in an educational setting or those considering a career in teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Ensure that students remain on task and complete assigned work.
- Support students' learning and development by providing guidance and assistance as needed.
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Implement school policies and procedures regarding behaviour management.
- Report any issues or concerns to relevant staff members.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and classroom management.
- Flexibility to adapt to different school environments and age groups.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
