A new opportunity has arisen for a Cover Supervisor to join a fantastic Secondary School in Werllingborough, Northamptonshire. With opportunities to progress on to Teacher Training in the future, this Cover Supervisor role is the perfect job for aspiring teachers who are seeking additional classroom experience before applying for a PGCE.
Cover Supervisor - Job Details:
• Secondary School based in Northampton
• Pay: Up to £650 per week
• Covering lessons across Years 7-11 in a variety of subject areas
• Full-time position, Monday – Friday, 08:30 - 15:30
• Delivering pre-set lesson plans
• Ensure students are on-task and understand the work that has been set
• Using the school’s behaviour policies to maintain classroom control
• Fantastic way of securing relevant experience prior to Teacher Training
To be considered for this Cover Supervisor role you will need to have an excellent academic record including a minimum of a 2:1 degree. You will also need to demonstrate an excellent track record of attainment in your GCSE and A-Levels. Graduates who have a degree specialism within English, Maths, Science, Performing Arts, PE and Geography will be of particular interest for this role.
Alongside boasting impressive academics, it is essential that you have the confidence to stand in front of classes of up to 30 students and deliver pre-set lesson plans. Someone who has already taken on a similar role (TEFL Teaching) would be very well suited to this Cover Supervisor role.
