Cover Supervisor needed in York and surrounding areas

Job Duties:

As a Cover Supervisor, your main responsibility is to oversee and supervise students in the absence of their regular teacher. You will ensure that the pre-prepared work is completed, manage the classroom environment, and maintain discipline and order among students. Additionally, you may be required to provide support to students with their learning and assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications:

- A relevant educational qualification in a related field

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to manage and engage with students effectively

Education:

A degree in Education or a related field is preferred

Experience:

Prior experience working in a school environment or with children is advantageous

Knowledge and Skills:

- Understanding of classroom management techniques

- Ability to follow lesson plans and curriculum guidelines

- Good organisational skills and the ability to multitask

Preferred Qualifications:

- Teaching Assistant qualification

- First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

You will be working in a school setting, following the school term calendar. The role may involve standing for extended periods and interacting with students of various ages and abilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
