Job Title: Full-Time Cover Supervisor

Location: New Malden, South West London

Organization: Multi Academy Trust Secondary School

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 am to 3:00 pm

Start Date: 4/11/2024

Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Cover Supervisor to join our dynamic team. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of regular teaching staff. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education to make a positive impact on the lives of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring a conducive learning environment.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and activities effectively to ensure smooth progression of learning.
  • Manage classroom behavior in line with school policies, fostering a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Support students with their learning, providing assistance and guidance as needed.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and senior leadership to contribute to the overall educational experience of students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a school environment or with young people is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and behavior.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Commitment to supporting the educational development and welfare of students.
  • Strong behavior management skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with tact and professionalism.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
