Cover Supervisor
Are you passionate about education and looking for a rewarding part-time role in a secondary school? We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join the team as a part-time Cover Supervisor at our client secondary school in Manchester City Centre.
The position is needed for a minimum of 3-days a week; however, the working days can be flexible. The successful candidate can expect to earn up to £15 per hour. Applications close on the 20th December and the start date will be from 6th January.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment for students when their regular teachers are absent. You will be responsible for supervising classes across various subjects, ensuring that students remain engaged and focused on their learning. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is considering a career in education or wants to gain experience working with young people.
Responsibilities:
•Supervise classes during teacher absences, following the lesson plans provided
•Maintain discipline and ensure students adhere to school policies
•Support students in their learning by providing assistance and guidance when needed
•Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
•Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times
•Communicate effectively with teaching staff, providing feedback on student progress
Requirements:
•A genuine passion for education and working with young people
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
•Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and year groups
•Strong organizational skills and ability to follow instructions
•Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
