Cover Supervisor Opportunities in London

Teaching Personnel is seeking experienced HLTAs/Cover Supervisors to join our team in the London area. If you’re passionate about education and looking to take on more responsibility in the classroom, this could be the perfect role for you.

Position Details:

  • Location: London
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:15am – 3:30pm (Term Time Only)

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher. Your responsibilities will include delivering pre-planned lessons, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring that pupils remain focused and complete their assigned tasks. This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to gain more classroom experience and take on a leadership role within an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing classroom behavior and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Delivering lessons as outlined by the teacher and keeping students on task.
  • Collaborating with the school’s timetable to ensure smooth lesson transitions.
  • Collecting and organizing completed student work.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • A passion for helping every child reach their full potential.
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
  • Determination to encourage positive progress and high aspirations in students.
  • Ability to nurture students' happiness and enjoyment of school life.
  • Enthusiastic, with a good sense of humor and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
