Job Description:

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking cover teachers, both qualified and unqualified, for a Secondary school in the LE4 area. The role involves covering absences with both long-term and short-term cover options available. The ideal candidate would have the ability to drive.

Within this role you will be teaching general secondary subjects to KS3 and KS4 students. Subjects includes Mathematics, Science and English.

Job Duties:

  • Provide cover for absent teaching staff
  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans effectively
  • Manage classroom behaviour
  • Ensure a positive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

A Degree in any field

Education:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a Bachelor's Degree Essential

Experience:

Experience in a teaching or classroom setting is desirable

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong teaching abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching environments
  • Confidence in managing classroom behaviour
  • Subject specialist knowledge preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

QTS or relevant teaching qualification

Working Conditions:

This role is temporary and part-time, offering flexibility in working hours. The successful candidate will be working in a Secondary school environment in the LE4 area of East Midlands, Leicestershire, Leicester.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
