Job description

Are you passionate about education and confident in managing a classroom? We are seeking a dynamic Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools in Hull with key subject areas. This role is perfect for individuals looking to make a difference in students' education while gaining valuable experience in the classroom.


Location: Hull
Pay: £100 - £120
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30 (Term time only)

Role Requirements:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of key subjects in the absence of teaching staff
  • Support students with their learning, ensuring a positive and productive classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour effectively, promoting a calm and focused atmosphere for learning
  • Collaborate with school staff to maintain high standards of teaching and learning

Desired Attributes:

  • Confidence in managing groups of students in a classroom setting
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Previous experience working with young people, such as in a school, coaching, or youth work (desirable but not essential)
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to working in different subject areas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
