Cover Supervisors - Gosport Area!

Teaching Personnel is looking for dedicated and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of schools in the Gosport area on an ad hoc basis. If you are enthusiastic about education and thrive in different classroom environments, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

As a Cover Supervisor, you will manage classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring that students engage with the pre-prepared work. This versatile role offers you the chance to work across different subjects and age groups, providing flexibility in your work schedule.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Supervision: Manage classes independently, ensuring students remain focused and complete the assigned work.
  • Learning Support: Provide support and guidance to students as they work through lessons, maintaining a structured learning environment.
  • Behaviour Management: Maintain a positive and disciplined environment, addressing any behavioural issues in line with school policies.
  • Administrative Duties: Assist with routine classroom tasks, such as distributing and collecting student work, and providing feedback to teaching staff.
  • Relationship Building: Foster positive connections with students and staff, promoting a respectful and encouraging classroom atmosphere.

  • Flexibility: Be open to working across various schools in Gosport on a short-term, as-needed basis.
  • Reliability & Professionalism: Demonstrate punctuality, professionalism, and a commitment to each assignment.
  • Adaptability: Be prepared to work with different age groups and subject areas, adjusting to each school’s unique needs.
  • Effective Communication: Clear communication with both students and staff to ensure smooth transitions and lesson delivery.
  • Experience/Qualifications: While previous school experience is a plus, it is not essential. Confidence in classroom management, strong organisational skills, and a genuine interest in education are highly valued.
