Cover Supervisors needed in Fareham!

 

Teaching Personnel are seeking adaptable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across the Fareham area. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking for flexibility, as you can choose the days you work to fit your schedule.

If you have experience in education or working with young people, this could be the perfect role for you!

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of a teacher, ensuring students remain on task and maintain a positive learning environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classes in the absence of the regular teacher, following pre-planned lessons and activities.
  • Ensure a calm, focused atmosphere in the classroom and address any behavioural issues in line with school policies.
  • Provide support to students during lessons, helping them engage with the content and complete tasks.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring students stay on task and meet learning objectives.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and school leadership, providing feedback on student behaviour and lesson outcomes.
  • Be flexible and prepared to cover a range of subjects across different year groups.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong classroom management skills and confidence working with secondary school students.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Adaptability and the ability to work across different subjects and year groups.
  • A proactive approach to ensuring a productive learning environment.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or in working with young people is desirable, but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
