The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Has a degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Enthusiastic and dedicated professional with a love for teaching and learning
  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and expertise
  • Experienced in teaching Computer Science at the secondary level
  • Having the ability to teach additional subjects is advantageous

 

The Role Outlined:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons to every year group within KS3 and KS4
  • Assess pupils progress and learning on a regular basis and provide informative feedback to them
  • Track pupil progress through marking, written & verbal feedback and assessments
  • Work in collaboration with colleagues within the IT/Computing department to enhance the learning experience for pupils and improve pupil attainment
  • Maintain safeguarding principles at the centre of everything you do
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extra curricular activities
