Teacher of Computer Science (Full-Time, Permanent)
Contract: Fulltime or Part Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS

Location: Kensington, London

A highly reputable secondary school and sixth form in Kensington is seeking a dedicated and innovative Teacher of Computer Science to join their esteemed staff on a permanent basis. The school is renowned for its commitment to academic excellence, fostering a nurturing environment where students thrive, and its state-of-the-art facilities that support a forward-thinking approach to education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Computer Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Develop and implement a dynamic curriculum that inspires students to achieve their full potential in Computer Science.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing targeted support to help every learner succeed.
  • Participate in the broader life of the school, including contributing to extra-curricular activities and the school community.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching and learning standards.

Requirements:

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK Computer Science curriculum, with the ability to teach up to A-Level.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality teaching with a proven track record of student success.
  • A passion for technology and education, with the ability to inspire and engage students of varying abilities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to contribute to the school’s ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Desirable:

  • Experience in developing and leading computer science initiatives or extracurricular activities.
  • Familiarity with the latest educational technology tools and platforms.
