A vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Brighton, rated GOOD by Ofsted, is seeking a dynamic and passionate Teacher of Computer Science to join their team from January 2025. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Computer Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, with the potential to teach KS5.
• Foster a positive learning environment that motivates and inspires students to reach their full potential.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
• Support the development of the Computer Science curriculum, ensuring it is up to date with current technology trends.
• Participate in the broader life of the school, including attending departmental meetings and contributing to extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

• A degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience of teaching Computer Science at secondary school level, with a track record of delivering high-quality lessons.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for Computer Science and technology.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
• Understanding of and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Desirable:

• Experience teaching Computer Science at KS5 (A-Level).
• Familiarity with emerging technologies and programming languages.
• Experience with developing resources that incorporate online learning and digital tools.
