We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to join our vibrant school community in Accrington. You will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging lessons that empower students to develop essential digital skills, critical thinking, and a love for technology.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A strong academic background in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (experience with Key Stage 5 is an advantage).
- The ability to make complex concepts accessible and exciting for all learners.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality Computer Science lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Inspiring students to excel in programming, digital literacy, and computational thinking.
- Preparing students for assessments, including GCSEs and potentially A-levels.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative schemes of work and resources.
- Supporting the school’s ethos of academic excellence and holistic development.
- A welcoming school community with a focus on student success and staff wellbeing.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
