Complex Needs Teaching Assistant(s) Required

Do you have experience with people with SEN and additional needs either in a professional or personal capacity? Are you looking for a rewarding career assisting at risk students that need additional support and dedication? Are you a person that genuinely cares about the continuing learning and development of SEN students? If so Teaching Personnel have a role that may interest you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural challenges.
  • Provide personal care (feeding, changing, toileting) where required.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and interventions as directed by senior staff.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the emotional well-being of students.
  • Assist in planning and delivering tailored lessons and activities to meet individual needs.
  • Monitor and track student progress, reporting any concerns to the relevant staff members.
  • Promote a culture of respect, tolerance, and empathy within the school community.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with behavioural difficulties or SEN (Special Educational Needs) is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and compassionate approach to working with students.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
