The PWR team at Teaching Personnel is thrilled to be working with an alternative education provider in Buckinghamshire to find a dedicated Community Teacher.
This rewarding role is perfect for someone who thrives on supporting students who face unique challenges in their educational journeys. You’ll work with a small caseload of up to five students, delivering tailored academic support and pastoral care in community settings, such as homes, local facilities, or other agreed spaces. Your efforts will help students overcome barriers to learning and prepare them for successful reintegration into formal education.

What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a proactive and adaptable teacher who is passionate about helping vulnerable students succeed.
Qualifications:
- Teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) or willingness to work towards one.
- A degree or equivalent, with Maths and English qualifications to at least Level 2.
- Specialist teaching qualifications in a chosen subject (desirable).
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong organizational skills and a commitment to providing exceptional pastoral care.
- Proven ability to manage behavior effectively and inspire students with diverse needs.
- Understanding of safeguarding, inclusion, and equality in alternative education settings.
- Experience teaching secondary-age students, with a creative and adaptable approach to teaching.
- Familiarity with virtual learning environments (desirable).
Personal Attributes:
- Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents/carers, and stakeholders.
- A positive role model who sets high expectations for behavior and learning outcomes.
- Collaborative, empathetic, and solutions-focused, with a commitment to empowering students to achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
