Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact on the lives of young individuals who have experienced trauma and struggle with life's challenges? Teaching Personnel is partnering with a provision in the North-West of Bristol that assists students in finding a positive path through the support of dedicated staff and role models. Do you have the qualities to connect with these students and build trusting relationships?

We are looking for someone who is confident in de-escalating challenging behavior, highly resilient, reliable, and, most importantly, empathetic. This role demands understanding and compassion, as these are what the children need. While prior classroom experience is not required, a caring attitude and a willingness to help these children are essential.

About the Role:

  • The position begins in September with possibilities for a contract to the successful candidate
  • No prior experience in a classroom is needed but desired
  • Small class sizes of 6-8 students, allowing for the development of strong relationships.
  • Monday to Friday (08:30-3:30), term time only. Providing a healthy work/life balance.
  • £84 - £95 per day paid weekly, with accessible commuting routes and parking.

What You Need:

  • The passion to make a difference for these students lives.
  • Confidence in working with young people who exhibit challenging behaviours and have difficulty regulating their emotions.
  • Possess de-escalation skills and experience working with challenging behaviours with adults or children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
