Pay: To scale (£162.31 to £251.71 per day)
Contract: Full-Time

Our client secondary school is based in Houghton (DH4), conveniently accessible via major routes such as the A1(M) and the A690. For those relying on public transport, the school is well-connected with links across the North East.

Requirements:

• QTS or equivalent qualification
• Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and a good understanding of the broader Science curriculum
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Child-only DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
• Two professional references from recent employment

Job Responsibilities:

• Teach KS3 and KS4 Chemistry to a range of abilities
• Plan, deliver, and mark lessons to meet the diverse needs of your students
• Ensure student safety during practical experiments, especially when handling hazardous materials
• Participate in a variety of extracurricular activities
