Job Opportunity: Teaching Assistant (Bank Staff) for a Specialist SEN School
We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our bank staff team at a well-established Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Chorley, Lancashire. The school provides tailored education and care for children with a range of learning disabilities, including autism, communication difficulties, and complex needs. About the Role
As a bank staff Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils’ learning and personal development. Working alongside our experienced teaching team, you will help deliver individualised learning plans, provide one-to-one support where needed, and assist with classroom activities. You'll need to be flexible and adaptable, ensuring that each child's unique needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils in their educational and social development.
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson planning and classroom management.
- Working with children on a one-to-one or small group basis.
- Promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.
- Helping with personal care where necessary.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in an SEN or education setting is desirable but not essential.
- A passion for working with children and a patient, caring nature.
- Availability for a minimum of 2 days per week, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
