Job Vacancy: Trust Caretaker
Location: Launceston area, covering 11 primary schools, 1 pre-school, 1 Education for Sustainability Centre & a Central Office
Contract: Permanent, 26 hours per week, Term Time + 12 days in school holidays (41.4 working weeks per year, potential to change to year-round)
Salary: £22,070 FTE (pro rata for 26 hours per week and 41.4 working weeks per year)
Hours: 26 hours per week, across multiple sites on a fortnightly rota
We are a dynamic and growing group of educational facilities based in and around Launceston, seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our Trust Premises Team as a Trust Caretaker. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a committed team ensuring the safety and maintenance of our schools and centres.
Key Responsibilities:
- General maintenance duties across all sites
- Support individual school premises teams
- Provide cover for caretaking and cleaning duties when required
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of Trust Premises
About You:
The successful candidate will:
- Be reliable, trustworthy, and hardworking
- Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and proactive approach
- Be willing to work across multiple sites on a regular basis (fortnightly rota)
- Have enthusiasm and a desire to learn on the job
Essential Criteria:
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
- A DBS check will be required for the successful candidate
