Are you a passionate and dedicated Business Studies teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders? Our dynamic secondary school in Oldham is seeking an enthusiastic Business Studies Teacher to join our committed team. Responsibilities:

  • Engaging Lessons: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons to students at KS3 and KS4, ensuring a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Student Development: Foster a positive classroom atmosphere, encouraging student participation, critical thinking, and a love for business.
  • Curriculum Design: Contribute to the development and implementation of a vibrant Business Studies curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their academic potential.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Support and lead business-related extracurricular activities, such as business clubs, competitions, and field trips.
  • Professional Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and strategies for effective teaching and learning.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A relevant degree in Business Studies or a related field, and QTS.
  • Teaching Experience: Proven experience teaching Business Studies at secondary school level.
  • Subject Expertise: Strong knowledge of the Business Studies curriculum and current educational best practices.
  • Classroom Management: Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
  • Professional Development: Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
  • DBS Certificate: Must hold a valid DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
