Challenging Behaviour Support Assistant
Treorchy Area – CF42
£77-£90 per day

One of our partnership schools in the Treorchy area is currently looking to bring on a Challenging Behaviour Support Assistant to join its dynamic and efficient Behavioural department with enough flexibility to fit around any schedule. The successful applicant will be supporting students with challenging behaviour in a mainstream school in KS3 and KS4, managing behaviours on a 1:1 and small intervention group basis. Interviews for this position will be held online over Microsoft Teams for the next 2 weeks.
What does a Behavioural Support Assistant do?
- Manage challenging behaviours of students in line with school policy
- Build a rapport with students & get to know them and why they exhibit such behaviours
- Work on a 1:1 basis and in small intervention groups with students
- Go through their pre-set schoolwork, assisting them with their understanding of tasks set
- Safeguard students & caring for their wellbeing
- Communicate and work within a team
- Take direction from line management
- Support students with their additional learning needs
What does a Behavioural Support Assistant require?
- Minimum 5 GCSEs in core subjects
- Patience
- Communication skills
- Enhanced DBS available on the update service
- Registration with the EWC

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
