Location: Cardiff (Travel Between Schools)
Contract: Full-Time or Part-Time temporary Options Available
Pay: £83.85 per day

This role will see you working across different schools, supporting students with behavioural needs to thrive in their education and beyond. No two days will be the same, and the difference you’ll make will be life-changing.


Your Role in the Classroom

  • One-on-One Support: Work closely with individual students to help them engage with their learning and develop positive behaviours.
  • Small Group Sessions: Assist small groups of students who may need extra guidance to stay on track.
  • Work Across Cardiff Schools: Using your own car, you’ll travel to different schools, building connections and making a real impact wherever you’re needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with teachers, parents, and other staff to create tailored support plans and celebrate every milestone.
  • Positive Atmosphere: Help foster a welcoming, safe, and inclusive learning environment for every child.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Experience working with young people, especially those with behavioural or additional learning needs.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Flexibility to work in different schools across Cardiff.
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, empathetic approach to behaviour management.
  • Reliability, resilience, and a willingness to adapt to new situations.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one with our support).
  • Registration to the Education Workforce Council (EWC)

Desirable:

  • Previous experience as a Behaviour Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant.
  • Qualifications in education, counselling, psychology, or similar.
  • Familiarity with behaviour management strategies and SEN practices.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
