Are you dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you possess the skills and compassion to support students with behavioural challenges? If so, we want you to be part of our team!

We are looking for those available on a full and part time basis to support one of our SEN settings in Cambridge from September 2024 or as soon as possible

Position: SEN Behaviour Support Assistant

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, particularly those with behavioural challenges.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Support students in developing coping strategies, social skills, and positive behaviours.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment.
  • Promote a positive and nurturing atmosphere for all students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN and behavioural challenges is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
