Job Duties:
- Provide support to students with challenging behaviour in an educational setting.
- Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies as directed by the SENCO or teacher.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups to help students develop social and emotional skills.
- Observe and report on student behaviour patterns and progress to the relevant school staff.
- Support the overall well-being and safety of students during school hours.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behavioural challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
- Welsh language- desirable
Education:
GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent
Experience:
Previous experience working with children or young people
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of behaviour management techniques in an educational setting.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with students.
- Basic knowledge of child development and psychology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desired)
- Training in positive behaviour support or similar approaches.
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily during school hours.
- May involve some outdoor activities or physical intervention in certain situations.
- Collaboration with teachers, SENCO, and other school staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
