JOB TITLE: Behaviour Support

PAY: 12.90 per hour

START: January 2025

HOURS: Full Time, Monday to Friday 08:30 – 15:30

LOCATION: Swansea

Job Role:

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking 3 Teaching Assistants to join our partner pupil referral unit, working with learners with challenging behaviour. Offering 1 -1, 2-1 and small group support. 

Working within a pupil referral unit, you will be required to work with learner’s form KS1 – KS4.

You will be required to support them within a classroom setting, and with outside school trips.

You will work alongside the Teacher and help plan and provide classroom work.

While your main duties are within the unit, while working with learners there will be an expectation that you go to their mainstream school alongside them, to assist with their transition back into a mainstream setting as that is the primary goal for leaners with the unit.

While a very rewarding role, this job opportunity will offer varied challenges and will need a resilient Behaviour Support Mentor to provide the correct and best support with learners and work to improve behaviour.

Requirements:

All applications will need to:

  • Hold GCSEs as Minimum
  • Have a Full and Clean Driving License
  • Have previous experience working with Behaviour/ ADHD/ ASD
  • Be able to commit to a full-time role, offering consistency to learners
  • DBS Enhanced – We can help with this
  • EWC – We can help with this
  • A comprehensive understanding of Safeguarding – Training provided

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
