Behaviour Assistant
Job description
Do you support young people who struggle to understand themselves and their emotions? Have you helped re-build a young person’s confidence and encourage them to make the right choices in life? Teaching Personnel are looking for someone who has had experience supporting young people who have displayed challenging behaviour and will support them in a classroom setting instead of the community.
This role is open to people who have already done teaching assisting work before and to those who have done support working/ youth working. You do not require any teaching qualifications, but have the experience and the desire working with people who have difficulties with their emotions and mental health.
The role is an immediate start in September and to carry on till January. We are looking for a full time TA with a potential of a contract in the new year!
About the role
- Small class sizes of 8- 10 pupils, creating strong relationships with the students
- Monday- Friday (08:30-3:30). Work fits into your life which creates a healthy work/life balance
- No prior teaching qualifications/ experience needed
- £84/ day and paid weekly and accessible routes

- The drive to make a difference to these pupils’ day
- Confidence to work with young people who exhibit challenging behaviours and struggle to regulate their emotions
- To be adaptable and resilient in challenging environments
- To be understanding of individual needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
