ASC Teaching Assistant
Job description
An Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary school in central Oldham is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to work one-on-one with a Year 8 student with autism. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in Special Educational Needs or those passionate about making a difference in a young person’s learning journey, as well as any recent Graduates seeking an introduction to working within a mainstream school setting.
In this position, you’ll work closely with the SEN team and teaching staff to provide tailored support, helping the student to engage positively with school life, build social and academic confidence, and manage transitions smoothly. Your role will involve adapting learning materials, offering guidance, and encouraging independent progress in a caring and structured environment.
The position offers flexible or full-time work options with a daily rate of £85 to £90. Please apply with an up to date CV.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
