We are currently seeking experienced tutors to join our team in Northampton. The ideal candidates will have a high level of experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and be willing to work around 10-15 hours per week on a part-time basis. The role requires patience and a focus on delivering tuition in maths, English, and science subjects.
Job Duties:
- Provide tailored educational support to students with SEN in maths, English, and science subjects
- Develop and implement individualised learning plans
- Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- A relevant qualification in education or a related field
- Demonstrated experience working with students with SEN
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- A degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of tutoring or teaching experience
- Strong knowledge of the UK education system
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
- Experience in using assistive technology in teaching
- Experience working with students with specific learning difficulties
Working Conditions:
- Part-time hours, around 10-15 hours per week
- Pay rate of £25-£30 per hour
- Temporary position with the possibility of extension
- Flexible schedule based on student availability

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
